This work of art was inspired by the passion of the Christ and the biblical imagery of the Son of God as both Lion and Lamb, Strength and Meekness, Defeater of Death and Christ crucified. The imagery here is borrowed from of a composition of both the Christ as portrayed by Jim Caviezel in the 2004 movie "The Passion of the Christ", and a reference photo of the majestic lion with his wild main and fierce gaze.
